Kinley has said some pretty funny things the past couple of days so Momma's typing them up for the memories and a little laugh for all our readers!
#1 Yesterday Momma, Kinley and Jax were playing in the playroom. Kinley went to the kitchen to get her drink. Jax trips, throws a fit and starts crying. Kinley comes RUNNING from the other room, enters the doorway and says, "MOMMY, YOU DO SOMETHING TO JAXON???" - this is what I usually am asking her when Jaxon starts to cry. And no, Mommy didn't do anything to Jaxon (although he probably deserved a swat for his little fit)! :)
#2 Momma is in the van biting her fingernails (yes, bad habit that comes and goes). Kinley yells, "Mommy, no pic your nose, that just gross, ewe soooooo yucky!" I explained to her that picking your nose is yucky, but I wasn't picking my nose, I had my finger in my mouth biting my finger nail. She then says, "Ok Mommy, no picking your mouth then ..." Well.... guess she has a good point!
#3 Kinley started fake crying in the car. Momma says, "Kinley stop your screaming." Then Kinley says, "But Mommy, Kinley just screamin her head off." Hummmmm, how many times do we say, "Jax is in there screaming his head off." ????
#4 (This one I debated on if I should put on here cause Daddy knows "dang it" is not a good thing to say, but apparently it has come out of his mouth before - so he apologizes, and we hope this post doesn't offend anyone! Make note, that he NEVER says the real thing, but agrees he should not even say the subsitute!) - On with the story- Gma Oakley and Momma are in the playroom with Kinley when she drops a toy and yells, "Dang It" we both look at her in shock and say, "Kinley we don't say those words!" She said, "Ok Mommy, only Daddy say that words???" Hummmm somebody named Daddy got caught!
Be careful what you say around our little sponge!!! :)

You'll hear more and more of your words coming out of that sweet little mouth! Parenting is definitely training of the child AND the parent! :) In the car once, Cassie said, "You idiot! We're only trying to get home!" OOPS! You can bet I cleaned that one out of my vocabulary (for the most part)...
Can you believe that she's big enough to know how to USE these phrases? Time sure flies!
Thanks for the chuckle. Yea, we have had to retrain our words too. It is amazing what you miss when you don't have kids to speak it back to you. Kinley's daddy is not alone with the "dang it" words someone else's daddy is guilty of that too. :) Not naming names. :)
You are learning how all the things you say and do can come back to haunt you. It has happened to me more times than I like to admit! Grandparents have to be careful, too. But they do pick up the good things as well as the not so good. Thank goodness!!
