Kinley Lynn is 2!!!

Kinley's birthday was Saturday so we had BIG BIRTHDAY BASH on Saturday afternoon. The weather was a perfect 71 degrees which made for an AMAZING outdoor party! Per Kinley's request we had pizza, popcorn, cake, and COOKIES, along with a couple extras (chips, drinks, etc...). Kinley is so thankful for all of her MANY friends and the 7 out of town family members who made it to the party (the best count we got was 49 people)! Thank you to all those who came to celebrate for for the amazing gifts for our little miss, she has been having a ball playing this week!

K and J Reunite!

Last weekend our family went to Tyler to visit Gpa and Gma Coleman. We had a great visit and then Kinley got to stay the week there while the rest of us came home. She had great visit and tons of fun but was so excited to see her brother when she got home (he was also thrilled to see her!).

What Should We Have For Your Birthday???

About a month ago Gma Kerry was asking Kinley what she wanted at her birthday party and Kinley responded, "Pizza and popcorn!" That seemed easy enough, so that was part of the food plan. Because Kinley had an opinion, Momma asked Kinley to sit down and help her make a list of what we should have next Sat. This is how the conversation went...

Momma - "Kinley, we should make a list of all the food for your birthday party, what do you think we should have?"

Kinley - "COOKIES!"

Momma - "What else?"

Kinley - "Cookies, and pizza, and cookies, and popcorn, and cookies, and cake, and yogurt, and cookies, and cheese sticks, and COOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Momma was writing everything down and laughing about all the cookies we were going to have. Next Momma started to read the list back to Kinley. There was no need for Momma to read it back, Kinley decided she would double check the list herself and took the list right out of Momma's hands. After focusing really hard she "read it" complete with the 20 times of listing cookies and then announced, "That's it!"

Hard to capture the story without seeing the little expressions she makes, but it was sooooo cute and something her Momma will always remember about her 2nd birthday!

Better stop blogging, sounds like I need to get to baking! :)

The RED Shoes!

Kinley's Halloween costume requires a pair of red shoes (hint hint) so we had to pay FULL price for a pair at Target last week (not on sale at all.... ugh!), therefor Momma will try to "make" as many outfits as possible for Kinley to wear this fall/winter with her RED Sparkling Shoes! This was attempt one with some things we had from this summer and some white tights! We'll try to remember to take pics of other things she wears with them and keep the posts coming! :)

Tonight Kinley got to get her face painted at the KCHS tailgate party before the football game! She thought she was big stuff dancing and getting her face painted!

Kinley's New Favorite Toy!

Last week Momma cut doors and windows in a big cardboard box and Kinley has had a "playhouse" that is gonna be very hard to get rid of as it is the new FAVORITE toy! The good news is after this one is thrown away we can "get" another in just a few moments. We've loved watching both kids play together in their "homemade" toy!
