Kinley's Mix-ups!

Mix-up #1: Yesterday Kinley had a doctor's appt. I told her we were going to the Doctor's office at 3:00 after she took her nap. At around 10:00 she told Jaxon she was going to the POST office with mommma and he couldn't go. Jaxon wanted to go and I told them we weren't going to the post office today anyway.... she looked at me really confused, but said ok. Later she told me that her ear was really hurting again and she really thought she did need to go to the POST Office TODAY after her nap!

Mix-up #2: Today we were making 4th of July cards to take to the nursing home. We drew flags, stars and firecrackers. On about card number six, I asked Kinley if she wanted to do another flag, her response, "No, this one should have a graham cracker on it." I thought that was kinda wierd, but we had put ice cream stickers on a few so I thought it sparked from that. A few minutes later she was in distress because she couldn't find the "graham cracker" card that Momma had made. I told her that I didn't make any with Graham crackers, she made that one. She said, "No, you made one first, it was blue and red, kinda like stars in the sky. She sure did think firecrackers were called graham crackers! :)

Beaver Lake 2011!

Kinley had a wonderful time at Beaver lake this week with the Oakley side of the family! This was her first year to ski (on the board Uncle Justin made) and probably the 1st lake trip she will remember. We had a blast skiing, boating, swimming, and camping. The trip ended one night early when at 9:30 Monday night we got word a huge storm with 60-70 mph winds were headed towards the campsite. In a crazy rush we packed up 18 people, 6 tents, and 2 boats and headed home through the night. Such a fun and memorable week of fun with cousins!

Highlights of the trip...

*Aunt Shelly FINALLY jumping at Big Clifty!
*Aunt Jenn's "Forest" run off the back of the boat!
*Daddy's amazing chair breaking ability!
*Mommy FINALLY finding the rope!
*Gpa Oakley throwing Uncle Justin out of the boat, while flipping two tube riders from the other boat all to save a ski down the lake.
*Jaxon's SUPERMAN Daddy!
*A whole new group of "Oakley" skiiers!

So Perfect!

This Momma is not usually that "mushy" but tonight I was almost in tears as Kinley told her Daddy goodnight.

"Daddy, I love you and Daddy, I really like you for staying home all the day with me now!" - Kinley, age 3 1/2.

Some people wonder why we choose to live on less with Daddy being a teacher and Momma staying home. There will always be time to have more "stuff" there will never be anything that can replace that comment from our little girl tonight! I know everyone has different circumstances and situations and our decisions are not perfect for everyone, but they are most definitely perfect for us!
