What's Kinley Doing Now???

This is long overdue and Momma is mad at herself for not posting things as they happen so we can remember them later, but I thought I would just type out a few things tonight to update everyone on what Kinley is doing now!

The "cute face" is back, stronger than ever!

She loves to show us where Baby Jaxon is and loving on him - this includes lifting Momma's shirt!

New Words: Jaxon, Gma, Gpa, Banana (nana), paci (papi), many friends names, milk, baby, YES (with nodding head), No, PLEASE, ut oh, whoops, Lobster (ask us the story later), fish, rabbit, dog, cat, etc... this is a sampling of words said, but the phrase that is said most often and forsure the most clear, come on, can't you guys guess with our little piggy? - BITE PLEASE!!! She loves to eat and she will pretty much go up to anyone who has food and clearly ask them for a bite - so sad... you'd think we didn't feed the kid!

She sings and dances all the time!

Sorting and stacking and favorite past times right now.

She loves her books.

She still only is allowed to have her blankets and paci in bed - she tries to sneak in and grab them out of the crib and then runs and laughs so we will chase her.

She loves for Momma to "put makeup on her" when Momma is getting ready and really looks in the mirror and says, "pretty".

She feeds, cuddles, pats, swings, and strolls her baby doll - she is the perfect little momma - she is actually wrapping her in a blanket right now!

If she knows she isn't supposed to touch something or do something and it is tempting, she runs, points at it, and then yells, "NO, NO, NO!" as if she is reminding herself.

Going potty in the big girl potty is not going as great as the first week or two, she goes sometimes, doesn't sometimes, tells us she wants to sometimes and then doesn't go, and flat out cried hard one day when we sat her down on her potty seat before bathtime. We still talk about it and want it to be a good and normal thing so when we get serious, she knows what is going on!

I think that is enough for tonight - I guess this is the 15 month update, although some of these things have been happening for a couple of months and I'm sure I'll get off of her and think of 20 more things that I should have noted for myself to remember!

We love her so much and can't wait for her to become a big sister 3 weeks from today!

Bathtime Buddies! :)

Last night after Kinley and Taylor worked in the yard all day (ok, maybe it was Daddy and Mr. Eric working in the yard...), the girls needed to take a bath. Taylor must not have thought Momma and Ms. Rachel were getting Kinley clean enough, because she decided she should be in charge of washing Kinley's hair!

Helping Daddy!

Daddy has been working in the backyard the past week getting ready to put in Kinley's mini playground (Mr. Eric is coming over tomorrow to help Daddy). Kinley thought it was only fair that she took part in the "helping" during naptime today, rather than going to bed, since Daddy has been working so hard! She said she didn't want Daddy to have to work by himself with Momma not being able to help much these days! - hehehehe!

Seeing Cousins from Colorado!

This weekend we went to Dallas to see some of Daddy's family from Colorado at a Hockey tournament. Ryan's Uncle Brian, Aunt Lisa, and cousins Blake and Dalton were there. Dalton was playing in the tournament and we think Blake was there to babysit Kinley (hehehehehe), he alway was wanting to do something with her! Here are a couple pictures from the weekend thanks to Gma Kerry (Momma's camera was low on batteries)!

Grandparents in Town!

Gma, Gpa, and Uncle Troy came into town for the weekend to go to Danny's (one of Troy's friends) wedding. Here are some pics from the weekend!

Gma and Gpa are too cool, they took pictures with "Dog the Bounty Hunter" and Beth, Danny's uncle and aunt!

Gpa showed Kinley what to do with a purse...

... and how to wear his safety glasses.

Gma gave Kinley a pedicure in her highchair!

GET UP UNCLE TROY!!!

Too Cute Not to Post...

Hopefully we will have more pictures later when we are in "full swing" of potty training, but for now these were too cute not to post. Kinley is going potty once or twice a day when Momma or Daddy takes her diaper off and waits with her, but she is not going at all on her own. It is very cute because she wants to be all the way naked and she really wants Daddy to be there when she goes. If Momma takes her during the day and Daddy isn't home, she calls his name over and over so he will come and cheer, it is sad when Mommma has to explain that he will have to watch when he comes home!

Princess Tinkerbell!

Kinley played dress up for the first time today! She ran around in her Tinkerbell outfit and even took her nap in it!

Kinley Goes Potty in the Big Girl Potty!

Ok... so Momma is proud, but knows this doesn't mean anything yet! We are not actually doing die hard potty training at this point, but it was still exciting news for her to happen to go at the right time!

Momma decided on January 1st that we would get out the "big girl potty" and just start "talking" about the idea - some people think it is crazy, but this is just a hope that we might not have to have 2 babies in diapers at once...

After getting out the seat on Thursday and sitting Kinley on it that day, one time, just so we could talk about the idea, we have been mentioning little things off and on all week. Example: Momma goes to the bathroom, Kinley comes too and we talk about the "big girl potty," etc... anyway... too much info, huh?

Tonight we got home and were going to get Kinley ready for bed and Momma asked Daddy to sit Kinley on her potty while she watched Momma (heehehhee, I know, too much info again...) to all three of our surprise - SHE WENT! Momma was so excited, we think it scared Kinley at first, but she was thrilled to sit there and be proud of herself while Momma went to get her Smarties candy!

We know it was just by luck she happened to go at the exact right time the first time we tried, but we thought it was great that she did go once just so we were able to give the praise and the candy to "spark" the idea!

After talking to Gma Oakley on the phone, we are still planning on doing diapers constantly, but sitting her down a couple times a day in hopes that it will happen a few more times so the idea can settle in before we work on bladder control, big girl panties, etc... that might still be a few months away!

Anyway... worth noting, just cause the thought that it "could" happen sometime in the near future would be sooooo wonderful for us, with Baby Jaxon on his way soon!

Let me know if anyone has any fabulous tips or idea for when we do get serious about this in a month or two!

Kinley Meets Baby Jake!

Ms. Amanda and Mr. Jeremy had Jake Tucker yesterday. He was HUGE - 9 lbs 7 oz! Kinley was so cute getting to see him face to face, I'm sure it is little confusing because for the last several months we have been calling Ms. Amanda's belly, Baby Jake. Maybe seeing all this with Amanda and Jake will help her be prepared for Baby Jaxon to come the end of next month!

A shoutout to Amanda and her long, crazy labor! She did great and we are glad Jake is here safe and sound!

Congratulations to our wonderful friends! We can't wait until you are home and we get to see more and more of little Jake!

Who's teaching Kinley to model in her diaper???

i

She definitely has the thighs for it...

Kinley's 1st Black Eye - Ouch!

Kinley got her 1st black eye this week. Momma was playing tickle moster with Kinley while Kinley sat in the shopping cart. We were having a great time until Kinley flung herself forward to escape the tickle attack and smacked her face on the front of the cart. Kinley screamed and Momma felt terrible!

Hair Bows and Headbands...

Who looks better in bows and headbands - Kinley, Gpa, or Daddy???
