Who Says That???
Kinley has said some pretty funny things the past couple of days so Momma's typing them up for the memories and a little laugh for all our readers!
#1 Yesterday Momma, Kinley and Jax were playing in the playroom. Kinley went to the kitchen to get her drink. Jax trips, throws a fit and starts crying. Kinley comes RUNNING from the other room, enters the doorway and says, "MOMMY, YOU DO SOMETHING TO JAXON???" - this is what I usually am asking her when Jaxon starts to cry. And no, Mommy didn't do anything to Jaxon (although he probably deserved a swat for his little fit)! :)
#2 Momma is in the van biting her fingernails (yes, bad habit that comes and goes). Kinley yells, "Mommy, no pic your nose, that just gross, ewe soooooo yucky!" I explained to her that picking your nose is yucky, but I wasn't picking my nose, I had my finger in my mouth biting my finger nail. She then says, "Ok Mommy, no picking your mouth then ..." Well.... guess she has a good point!
#3 Kinley started fake crying in the car. Momma says, "Kinley stop your screaming." Then Kinley says, "But Mommy, Kinley just screamin her head off." Hummmmm, how many times do we say, "Jax is in there screaming his head off." ????
#4 (This one I debated on if I should put on here cause Daddy knows "dang it" is not a good thing to say, but apparently it has come out of his mouth before - so he apologizes, and we hope this post doesn't offend anyone! Make note, that he NEVER says the real thing, but agrees he should not even say the subsitute!) - On with the story- Gma Oakley and Momma are in the playroom with Kinley when she drops a toy and yells, "Dang It" we both look at her in shock and say, "Kinley we don't say those words!" She said, "Ok Mommy, only Daddy say that words???" Hummmm somebody named Daddy got caught!
Be careful what you say around our little sponge!!! :)

Happenings with Kinley...
Momma's a little behind on posts for Kinley lately, so today is just an update about Little Miss and what she has been up to lately!
Last weekend Gma and Gpa Coleman came into town for Ms. Charli and Mr. Craig's "Uncle Nut" baby shower and Kinley's friend Anna turned 2 so Kinley got to go to the ELMO birthday party!
This week Gma and Gpa Oakley came into town and Gma and Gpa Coleman came back because Jaxon's 1st Birthday was this week and we had a party on Saturday at our house. (It is important to note that Kinley thought the party was for her and that everyone came into town to see her. Thinking that she still thinks that and is that she is wondering why there are so many new "boy" toys rather than the "girly" stuff she usually gets. :))
Here are some pics from the last couple of weeks!

Washing the van with Daddy.
As if Gma doesn't have enough kids and grandkids, Kinley wanted Gma to hold all of her babies! :)
Hilarious - wish we had a video... Gpa, Gma, Kinley (and baby Emily) singing "I'm in the Lord's Army" complete with actions! :)

The Letter Video!
Ryan said the last video was WAY too long that is why it never uploaded correctly.
Hope this one works! If not, I guess you will all have to drive to Houston to see Kinley's Letters! :)

Caught with your hand in the cookie jar...
or cookie dough!!!
This morning Kinley and Momma made cookies. It was a good time and of course Kinley wanted to lick the beaters and lick her fingers after putting the cookies on the sheet to bake. We had one batch in the oven and we both went into the playroom. Jax woke up so while I was getting and changing him I realized Kinley wasn't in the playroom anymore. As I rounded the corner into the kitchen, Little Miss was sitting on the counter with a handfull of cookie dough up to her face. I said, "What do you think you are doing?" and she just broke down and started to cry and then whimper and the have an all out sob session. I didn't have to spank her, put her in time out, or punish her in any way, just the thought of getting "caught" was such torture to her she couldn't stand it.

Kinley Learns Her Letters!
Yesterday we decided it was time for Kinley to start learning to recognize letters of the Alphabet. She has learned to "spell" a few things (Kinley, Jax, Mom), but only by memorization, we decided the next thing to teach her was to be able to see each letter and recognize it in a group. She makes mistakes (I actually wanted to film another video where she didn't make a mistake to post, but decided it was best to remeber that she isn't perfect at our little game) but she is sure trying hard she usually gets most if not all letters correct each go round. You can see the game we have been playing the last two days of moving the letters across the fridge. She is eager to learn, but more eager to meet goals and earn her reward (in this case a cookie, and getting to call Gma Oakley and Gma Kerry to tell them what she learned).
I also want to add that she didn't know I had already cut the video off and yelled right into the camera - BYE GRANDMA - she knew she was making the video for her Gmas to see!
As of tonight before bed she can recognize the following letters: (W,E,R,T,I,Y,O,P,A,S,J,K,L,X,B,&M), tomorrow Momma's got to go thru the toy bins and look for the rest of the magnetic letters so we can finish the fridge game!
Other notes: The letter O is "kinda like Gma Oakley", the letter Y is "kinda like Gma Kerry" - we have no idea why, finally the letter S is "kinda like Cookie Monster" - we know Cookie Monster sings about the letter S on a Sesame Street she has watch recently so that was fun to know she is truly learning from that show!
One last note, Kinley thanks Brennan for his inspiration (that little smarty pants!) and Aunt "teacher" Jenn for the idea to use the magnetic letters - they have been great!
So I can see that the video is not working, maybe it is my sign that I have to shoot another video where she does get ALL letters correct - heheehehe! I loaded it last night and our electricity blink while it was loading so I thought maybe that had something to do with it. I've tried several times today and can't get it to work, maybe when Ryan gets home he can fix it or we will just take another video later!

Kinley Meets Tucker!
Kinley got meet Daddy's best friend, Tucker, this weekend (his rooomate from college). It seems kinda wierd that she is over two years old and just meeting him, but he moved to California before she was born. Daddy has got to see him a couple times in Dallas in the last couple of years, but Kinley just meet him for the 1st time, hopefully our whole family will get to see more of both Tucker and Lindsay now that they are back in Dallas!
Of course Kinley thought Mr. Tucker had come to town to spend time with her, rather than Daddy, so she was soaking up TONS of time making him play "where's Kinley?" and "tickle monster" all weekend!

Vacation!
While Momma and Daddy went on their cruise last week Kinley and her little bro had a vacation to Tyler, TX to stay with Gpa Tom and Gma Kerry!
Some of Grandma Kerry's favorite moments of Kinley's stay were Kinley claiming to be a BIG GIRL and wanting to do everything herself this trip, informing Gpa Tom he could not take her pig tail out of her hair because Momma and Gma Kerry like her pig tail, and her taking her bowls into the bathroom so she could "wash them" in the bath tub.
Momma and Daddy had a wonderful break and thank Gma and Gpa for keeping the munchins for us! Here are a few pics of the week!
