Today Kinley had her 18 month doctor appt. She weighs 26 pounds (52%) and is 34 1/4 inches tall (78%). The doctor predicts her to be around 5' 7" when she is full grown. We'll see if that come true... this will be fun to look back on.
Dr. Edralin was very impressed with all she can say and do. He was most impressed by her new found potty training that she is choosing to do on her own! He got a first hand look at her telling Momma and wanting to go. We just had one problem... there was someone else in the bathroom. As we stood in the hallway Kinley continued to tell Momma, "potty" then reached up her shorts and started tugging at her diaper then right there she went "potty" half of her diaper and half on her shorts. AHHHHHHHH!!! The doc was very "impressed" with this because she knew she needed to go, Momma was very "frustrated" with the mess! :) Momma is very proud that K is trying so hard and she had already gone twice this morning before we went to the doc and had the accident. Oh what fun we are having! :)
Kinley got one shot today and didn't cry at all. She made a confused face when the nurse stuck her. I asked her, "Kinley was that a big ouch?" and she just said "ouch" about 5 times and was that was it. Then she had to show everyone her "sticker" aka band aid one the way out!
Overall the appt went well and we shouldn't have to go back to the doc for her for another 6 months!

"Tinky"
On Wednesday morning Kinley got up and told me, "Tinky" I told her, "No, you aren't stinky." Again, she said, "Tinky" and patted her bottom. I said, "You aren't stinky, you are just wet." She then said, "Wet, potty!" I said, "Oh, you need to go potty," and I took her diaper off and sat her on the toliet. (duh, mom...) She went "tinky" or "poopoo" in the big girl potty. Of course she got candy and tons of praise so the next 4 days she has done the same thing. After she gets up in the morning she tells me "Tinky" and we go sit on the potty and she goes after about 30 seconds. Yesterday afternoon she was outside playing on her playground with Daddy and she started patting her bottom yelling "tinky" at him, he brought her in and sure enough she did have to go. Anyway.. up until this week she has only wet on the potty and only when it was Momma or Daddy's idea. So going "tinky" and on her time not ours is a big deal for us. We will continue to just hit or miss let her go over the next couple of months, but Momma thinks (hopes) potty training will happen early in the summer! Someone hold me to staying home and working with her then! :)

Happy Easter (A Little Late...)

Flying to Kansas!
Miss Priss had a great time flying to Kansas with Momma and Jaxon. As you can see from the pics, she first made sure she was aware of the safety features before we took off. And yes, that is a paci in her mouth... most of you know we got rid of the pacifiers except for bedtime when she turned 1 year. Mom decided there would be an exception on a plane trip with both kids, Kinley got her paci as much as she wanted and was an angel most of the ride! She had a little fit the last few minutes as we landed and then sat on the plane for an extra 20 minutes waiting to get off, but other than that she did great for a 17 month old!
